Istanbul is the beating heart of Turkish padel. The sport arrived around 2020 and exploded here faster than anywhere else in the country, with nearly 30 listed courts spread across the city and a playing community that ranges from complete beginners to nationally ranked competitors. The scene is social and urban: people play after work, book courts through WhatsApp groups, and treat club evenings as much a networking event as a match.
Geographically, the courts hug the European and Asian waterfronts. Kadıköy and Bostancı anchor the Asian side, with venues like Alfie The Padel and Padel Park in Burhaniye, while the European side stretches from Beşiktaş and İstinye out to Sarıyer, Kilyos and Florya. Indoor and covered courts keep play going through winter, so the season never really stops.
Evening slots between 7 and 11 pm fill up fastest, especially on weeknights after work hours. Book two or three days ahead, or aim for weekend mornings when courts are noticeably quieter.
Padel has taken off in Turkey over the past few years. What began in a handful of Istanbul gyms is now a nationwide sport, with courts ranging from the Aegean and Mediterranean coasts to Anatolia's largest cities.
Below you'll find every city with listed padel courts. Start with the biggest scenes, Istanbul, Antalya and Izmir, or head for the holiday destinations where you can play between the beach and brunch: Belek, Cesme, Bodrum and Alanya.
