Ankara's padel scene is smaller than Istanbul's but growing steadily, with 6 listed courts and a loyal, competitive core of players. As the capital, it has a strong club-sport culture, and padel has slotted neatly into it: the community here is organized, slightly more serious than the coast, and enthusiastic about ladders and league play.
Venues are spread across the city's western and southern quarters, including Padel Fiesta Club in Yaşamkent, No1 Padel near Selim Gedik Parkı, So24 Padel and Kapital Tenis & Padel Kulübü in Karşıyaka. Winters are cold and much of the play moves indoors or to covered courts, while summer evenings are ideal.
Winter evenings are busy because everyone converges on covered courts, so book further ahead from November to March. Summer play is best after 6 pm when the dry Ankara heat eases off.
Padel has taken off in Turkey over the past few years. What began in a handful of Istanbul gyms is now a nationwide sport, with courts ranging from the Aegean and Mediterranean coasts to Anatolia's largest cities.
Below you'll find every city with listed padel courts. Start with the biggest scenes, Istanbul, Antalya and Izmir, or head for the holiday destinations where you can play between the beach and brunch: Belek, Cesme, Bodrum and Alanya.
