Alanya has quietly built one of the most concentrated local padel scenes on the Turkish Mediterranean, with 8 listed courts strung along the coast east of the city. What makes Alanya different from Bodrum or Çeşme is its year-round foreign resident population: Scandinavians, Germans and Dutch expats keep courts busy even in winter, which is peak season for long-stay visitors.
The venues cluster in the eastern suburbs: Oba, Mahmutlar, Kestel and Kargıcak each have dedicated clubs, including Mahmutlar Padel Club, Alanya Padel Academy and Neo Padel Club, while the city center retains the original Alanya Padel Academy in Saray. Most courts are outdoor but play well from February through December.
If you are staying in Mahmutlar or Kestel, play at your local club rather than heading into the center; the eastern venues are the most active. Winter mornings can be surprisingly cool, so bring layers for 9 am starts.
Padel has taken off in Turkey over the past few years. What began in a handful of Istanbul gyms is now a nationwide sport, with courts ranging from the Aegean and Mediterranean coasts to Anatolia's largest cities.
Below you'll find every city with listed padel courts. Start with the biggest scenes, Istanbul, Antalya and Izmir, or head for the holiday destinations where you can play between the beach and brunch: Belek, Cesme, Bodrum and Alanya.
